Elsa

Elsa first found out about the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program through a friend.

She enrolled her oldest daughter, Stephanie, into HIPPY when she was 4 years old.  Stephanie graduated from HIPPY last year after completing the 5-year-old curriculum and this year, Stephanie’s younger sister, Elizabeth, eagerly followed in her footsteps.  Elizabeth is enrolled in HIPPY’s 3-year-old curriculum and has enjoyed an abundance of activities from measuring different items in her house to other science and math activities. She enjoyed seeing how long different items were and was excited when she was able to guess the correct length.  Elsa said, “I love these activities that prepare my kids for school.”  Elsa has extended this activity by talking to Elizabeth when they go to the grocery store and discussing how much fruit and vegetables weigh when they buy them.

"I am excited to introduce the 4-year-old curriculum to Elizabeth. The activities I learned from the curriculum with my older daughter Stephanie were so much fun and I feel Elizabeth will benefit from it just as much as Stephanie did. My oldest daughter has excelled in school this year and HIPPY definitely had something to do with it. She walked into kindergarten ready to learn and had a passion for learning because of HIPPY.”
