Youth Outreach and Transitional Housing Program

Youth Outreach can offer support to youth who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness to connect to services that they may need. These services may include: shelter, employment, benefits access, food and hygiene access, connection to education, case management, and other services.

There are Transitional Living Apartments available for youth who are committed to case management. These short term TLP apartments support youth aged 18-22 to stabilize, gain independent living skills and move on to stable tenancies through intensive case management. The expected stay in the Transitional Living Apartments (TLP)  is 3-6 months.

If you are between the ages of 16 and 22 and experiencing unstable housing, please complete the interest form. A Youth Outreach Specialist will phone you within 72 business hours.

If you are experiencing an immediate crisis, please phone (859) 581-1111.

Why We Do It

Brighton Center’s 2024 Street Outreach Program identified 3,000 youth may be homeless on any given night in the top 5 Northern Kentucky counties.

In 2024, the National Runaway Safeline (NRS) received nearly 300 crisis contacts from Kentucky youth.

The Northern Kentucky Homelessness Working Group indicated that 21% of unsheltered individuals are under the age of 18.
