Volunteer Opportunities for High School Students
Brighton Center programming often supports the basic needs of individuals and families who live throughout Northern KY. Volunteers can sponsor collection drives for clothing, food, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and/or baby items. Having these items available to serve those in need, helps promote self-sufficiency.
The Clothing Closet is a high –quality thrift store open to the public that also serves individuals and families in need of clothing and household items. Many families receive their clothing free through clothing vouchers that are issued through Family Center programs. Collecting in-season clothing helps Brighton Center sustain the mission of the Clothing Closet. Volunteers may also help to sort and organize incoming donations and hang appropriate clothing for the store.
The Family Center is the gateway to the agency, building relationships with individuals and families struggling to maintain their independence. Family Center programs assist families to reach financial self-sufficiency through supportive intensive case management, training, and education. Our emergency assistance program offers help with food, clothing and financial assistance. Collecting non-perishable food, personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies supports families in need. Volunteers may also help to sort and organize incoming donations for the Choice Food Pantry and the USDA Commodities food program.
To volunteer for any of the above opportunities, please contact Beth Hodge at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule time to volunteer.
