FAMILY CENTER DEPARTMENT

Family Resource Advocate:

Community minded individual to help families create solutions to their self-sufficiency barriers.  Responsibilities include conducting intake, providing assistance, supporting, advocacy and follow up to Northern Kentucky families seeking emergency assistance. Requirements include Case management experience and previous history working with families from diverse backgrounds. Salary range $18,000 - $22,000 per year. Reference FRA.

 

YOUTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Counselor – Full time

Candidate will provide counseling services to at-risk youth ages 11-19 in an emergency shelter and independent living facility. Responsibilities include timely completion of all intake, assessment and casework activities including individual group and family counseling, prevention education, aftercare services and crisis intervention.  Individual must have good documentation and organizational skills, be resourceful and knowledgeable of the issues of runaway homeless youth and behavioral management.  Requirements include Bachelors Degree in social work or related field and a minimum of four years experience.  A Masters Degree in social work and minimum two years experience is preferred.  Salary range $26,000-$29,000.  Reference CSL

Case Manager

Case management skills, time management skills and knowledge of community resources. Must have excellent documentation skills, ability in developing individual service plans and prioritizing goals and objectives.  Broad knowledge of counseling skills, the ability assess and handle crisis situations.  Excellent listening, communication skills and the ability to connect with youth and maintain professional boundaries.  Group skills are needed to plan and facilitate interactive groups with youth on a weekly basis. Make regular school, home and work visits to ensure attendance, life skills are being incorporated, living quarters meet standards, evaluate youth’s work and to ensure work environment is appropriate. Must be willing to schedule and transport youth to necessary appointments.  A bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field required.  Prefer 2 years of case management experience.  Salary Range $20,000 - $26,000.00.  Reference CM

 

Youth Workers –Part time, On-Call – evenings, weekends and overnight

Provides guidance and supervision for at-risk youth in an emergency shelter setting and residential program.  Candidates must be skilled at handling crisis situations, conflicts and various types of behaviors in a supportive manner to resolve issues.  Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably a bachelors degree, with minimum one year experience working with youth. .  Full time third shift, part time evenings and weekend shifts available.  Pay range $9.00-$11.00 per hour.  Reference YW

 

CHILD DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Lead Teacher – Full Time

Initiate developmentally appropriate activities.  Maintain physical condition of facility.  Assure environment and interaction meet NAEYC, STARS and licensing regulations.  Requires CDA or AA with 2 years experience.

 

Assistant Teacher(s) - - Part Time

Assist lead teacher in developmentally appropriate activities.  Maintain physical condition of facility.  Assure environment and interactions meet NAEYC, STARS and licensing regulations.  Experience in early childhood development, CDA or AA in related field.  Pay $13,650. - $15,600:  Reference TA

After School Recreational Aid –Part Time to 15 hours per week

Candidate will assist classroom in activities, maintain physical condition of facility.  Assure environment and interactions meet NAEYC, STARS and licensing regulations.  Requirements:  Experience in early childhood development.  Pay $6.00 -$7.00 per hour.  Reference SRA

 

 

EMPLOYMENT TRAINING NETWORK DEPARTMENT

Program Coordinator

Candidate for our nationally recognized Center for Employment Training (CET) facility to provide entrepreneurial leadership.  Needs ability to cultivate and lead dedicated personnel and administer program budget; ensure a process of continuous program evaluation and contract compliance.  Requires:  BA/BS, 2-5 years of not-for-profit management experience including development and training.  Candidate must have knowledge of adult learning methods, leadership abilities including marketing, organizational, problem solving and attention to detail.  Salary range: $34,000-$38,000.  Reference PC.

Outreach/Admissions/Retention Specialist (OAR Specialist)

Develop and implement a marketing plan to reach and recruit new trainees for employment training programs. Make presentations on programs to potential clients and businesses in group or one-to-one settings. Complete/process paperwork and files with proper documentation of new trainees through enrollment process. Work closely with Financial Aid Officer to ensure compliance with all contracts. Track and report necessary statistics as required. Provide assistance/support to program staff in retention of trainees. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Experience in marketing, presenting, social services required. Experience with diverse population especially socio-economically disadvantaged.  Excellent communication, computer and organization skills. Detail oriented.  Salary range $25,000 - $28,000.  Reference OAR

Automated Office Skills Instructor

Skill instructor responsible for providing hands-on class room instruction to trainees in an array of MS Office XP Products that encompass. MSWord, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint; and MS Access.  Will mentor trainees to reach goals, provide outreach assistance to ensure attendance, as well as partner with both Basic Skill Instructor to develop innovative training programs and a Job Developer to coach for professional work environments in preparation for future employment.  BA/BS in computer related field with MS Office, XP certification preferred.  Experience working with economically disadvantaged population.  Salary range $25,000 - $29,000.  Reference AOS.

Building Maintenance Basic Skill Instructor

Instruct trainees in math, reading, language and life skills.  Motivate trainees to reach individual goals, providing outreach assistance to ensure attendance.  Deliver hands-on training expertise in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.  Requires a BA/BS degree with a minimum of 3 years teaching an economically disadvantaged population.  Salary range; $21,000 - $25,000 per year.  Reference BMBSI

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Youth Leadership Development Specialist / Part Time.

Conduct and plan creative leadership meeting that develop skills of youth.  Recruit and retain youth for “YLD” group, work with youth to identify and address community needs through community revitalization projects.  Requires a High School Diploma, College Degree preferred, experienced in working with a diverse population. 25 hours per week which must include 2PM – 5PM Monday through Thursday.  Salary range $9 - $11 per hour.  Reference YLD

 

SUPPORT SERVICES

On-Call Specialist:

Floater’s position to fill in throughout the Brighton Center community.  Experienced in counseling, family support, supervision of programs and staff, skills training and employment issues.  Must be able to work a flexible work schedule ranging from one week to three months depending on assignment.  A bachelors’ degree with 5 years management experience.  Reference OCS

 

PROPERTIES

Maintenance – Full Time

General knowledge of building maintenance and custodial skills.  Salary range  $8 - $15.00 per hour.  Reference PM
