What kind of services does Brighton Center offer?

What kind of assistance does the Family Center offer?

What are the qualifications for your GED program?

  • To participate in the YPCC - GED program you need to be a K-Tap recipient, are 16-21 years of age, and did not finish high school.

What are the qualifications for the Holiday Drive?

  • Low to moderate income.
  • Campbell County resident.
  • You must bring with you proof of income, proof of address, Social Security cards for everyone in the household.
  • Applications will be taken from November 4 through December 5, Monday thru Friday, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Family Center location.

What days are USDA Commodities given? What are the qualifications?

  • Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 – 5:00.  Closed between 1:00 – 2:00 for lunch.
  • Must have a piece of mail with current address.
  • Social Security Card.
  • Household income must not be over:  $960 for 1 person, $1294 for 2 persons, $1628 for 3 persons, $1961 for 4 persons, $2295 for 5 persons, $2629 for 6 persons, $2962 for 7 persons, $3296 for 8 persons, each additional member add $334.

What are the hours of the Clothing Closet?

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • First Saturday of the month, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

What items can I donate? Where can I drop them off? Do you have a pickup service?

  • Our Homeward Bound location accepts clothing that would fit kids 11-17 years of age only.
  • Our Family Center location will accept everything except appliances, waterbeds, oils, paints, medicines or air conditioning units.
  • Donations accepted Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • We can pick up furniture only.

Can I get a tax receipt for my donations?

  • Yes.  Stop by the receptionist desk to get a receipt.
