Since 1966, Brighton Center has been working to be an innovative leader that strengthens the vitality of the community and engages people as they work and live to achieve their hopes and dreams. From modest beginnings in a Newport storefront when we were founded, Brighton Center has grown to provide a uniquely comprehensive range of programs and services family and work supports; financial and homeownership services; workforce development services including, education, employment and training programs; substance abuse recovery services for women; early childhood education; and neighborhood based programs including community organizing and housing development. did you know about the brighton center

During our last fiscal year, Brighton Center served 74,035 individuals through 35 different programs with a 97% satisfaction rate.

Our education and workforce development programs alone served 25,059 individuals.


We helped 1,111 adults become employed a minimum of 90 days, 104 who worked full-time with access to health insurance, and 400 individuals who earned a livable wage of at least 200% of poverty .

Accreditation and Accountability:

We are an accredited charity through the Better Business Bureau and meet all 20 standards for charitable accountability. Our Bright Days Child Development Center is 3 STAR rated in Kentucky. Our Center for Employment Training is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and is approved to receive Title IV funding from the Department of Education. We are monitored by all external funding sources as well as our Homeward Bound Shelter that serves homeless and runaway youth and our Bright Days Child Development Center are both compliant with all requirements of licensing.
